Check Strips

Q: Does OSHA require using "check strips" to verify potency of cold sterilants (glutaraldehyde)?

A: OSHA regulations do not directly address this issue. From a liability standpoint, however, it makes good sense to check soaking solutions near the expiration date, especially if they have been repeatedly used.
